200-unit Apartment Project Back on Track in Downtown Danbury

A 200-unit apartment project once shelved over sewer concerns is back on the table in Danbury. Developers plan to convert a five-story office building into 48 apartments and build a 160-unit complex with a three-level garage on Main Street. The proposal, dubbed Legacy on Main, stalled in 2023 but has returned after extensive talks with city officials. A public hearing is set for August 8. Supporters say the project aligns with the city’s vision for downtown revitalization.
