New Milford Mother & Son Face Prison Time

A New Milford woman and her son have pleaded guilty in a deadly 2022 hit-and-run crash that killed a Danbury man on Route 7. Kevin Pereira-Rego admitted to evading responsibility. His mother, Gorete Pereira, pleaded guilty to helping cover it up. Both face up to three years in prison at sentencing in July.
