Small Plane Crashes at New Milford Airport No Injuries Reported

A single-engine plane crashed Friday evening at Candlelight Farms Airport in New Milford. Police say no one was hurt. Emergency crews, including fire and EMS, responded after a 911 call around 7:46 p.m. The Federal Aviation Administration and National Transportation Safety Board are investigating the cause of the crash.

Ridgefield Construction Worker Hurt In Job Site Accident

A construction worker was taken to Danbury Hospital after being injured Friday morning on East Ridge Road in Ridgefield. Police say it happened around 9:15 outside a building at 100 East Ridge Road. The worker’s condition and the nature of the injury haven’t been released. OSHA was notified and is investigating along with Ridgefield police.

Nor’easter Knocks Out Power To Over 1,000 Connecticut Customers

More than 1,000 Connecticut homes and businesses lost power Sunday evening as a nor’easter brought heavy rain and strong winds across the state. Eversource reported just over 1,000 outages by 7 p.m. Utility crews say most of the outages were caused by downed tree limbs as the storm intensified through the evening.
