Georgia Man Charged In $103,000 Fraud Case

State police say a Georgia man is charged with first-degree larceny after defrauding a business in Connecticut out of more than $103,000. Seventy year old Daniel Boenke of Gainesville, Georgia, was arrested following an investigation by Connecticut State Police into a reported fraud. Boenke is being held on a $125,000 bond.

Danbury Laundromat Fire Under Investigation

An early morning fire at a Keeler Street laundromat in Danbury is under investigation by the fire marshal. Crews were called to the Stay Fresh Laundromat around 1:15 Monday morning and put out the fire quickly. Fire officials say there were no injuries, and the cause has not been determined.
