Crash Knocks Out Power in Danbury

A crash involving multiple utility poles caused traffic problems and power outages Tuesday afternoon in Danbury. Police say the wreck happened near Triangle and Starr streets, bringing down wires and forcing drivers to avoid the area. More than 300 Eversource customers were without power for a time.

Danbury Expands Special Education Preschool Space

Danbury has approved plans to expand special education preschool space on Granville Avenue by converting part of a former church property into classrooms. The project includes four new classrooms, a playground and additional parking to help meet growing demand for early childhood services.
