The Golf Performance Academy has named longtime PGA professional Heath Wassem as director of golf at its Ridgefield boarding school program. Wassem brings three decades of PGA membership and more than 20 years as head professional at Fenway Golf Club. He’ll help prepare student-athletes for collegiate and professional golf.

37 year old Waleston DaSilva-Sousa of Danbury is facing threatening and harassment charges after Westport Police say he threatened a business owner and her daughter following his wife’s firing from a cleaning company. Investigators also learned DaSilva-Sousa was the subject of an active administrative immigration warrant. He is due in court August 11.
