Bethel Approves Pet Urgent Care Facility
A former bank building at the Big Y shopping plaza on Stony Hill Road in Bethel will become an urgent care center for pets. Town planners approved the project after requiring a privacy fence around a small outdoor area where dogs will be taken for supervised bathroom breaks.

A 37 year old Luis Rivera of Danbury has avoided jail after pleading guilty to promotion of prostitution and conspiracy charges. A judge imposed a 42-month suspended prison sentence and four years of probation. Prosecutors said Rivera profited from a woman’s prostitution activities in 2021 after a police investigation.
