Vehicle Overturns Into River In Bethel

One person was taken to the hospital after a vehicle left the road and overturned into a river in Bethel Friday. Police and a nearby homeowner pulled the occupant from the vehicle before firefighters and EMS arrived. A heavy-duty crane was used to recover the vehicle.

State Panel Votes To Revoke Senator’s Disability Pension

Missing Person Found Dead In Brookfield Woods

Brookfield Police are investigating after a missing person was found dead late Friday in woods near Candlewood Shores Road. Officers located the body near an all-terrain vehicle after responding to a missing person report. Anyone with information is asked to contact Brookfield Police.

Free And Reduced Transit Fares Planned For July 4 Holiday

Connecticut residents can ride CTtransit buses free on July 4 and 5 as part of the state’s America 250 celebration. Discounted fares will also be offered on many trains, with expanded rail and bus service planned for major Independence Day events.

Danbury To Mark Nation’s 250th Birthday With July 4 Commemoration
