Ridgefield Crash Sends One Driver to Hospital

One person suffered minor injuries in a two-vehicle crash Monday morning outside the entrance to Ridgefield High School. Police say the collision happened when a driver attempting to turn left into the school was struck by an oncoming vehicle. One driver was ticketed for an improper turn.

Possible Record Hailstone Falls During Fourth of July Storms

National Weather Service officials are investigating a 3-inch hailstone reported in Bristol that could become the largest ever recorded in Connecticut. The Fourth of July storms also produced wind gusts up to 80 miles an hour, widespread tree damage, power outages and scattered road closures across the state.

Pirate Ship Damaged by Fourth of July Storm
