Heavy rain caused flash flooding across parts of Connecticut Sunday, closing roads and stranding vehicles. Flooding was reported throughout the area, and portions of Interstate 95 were also affected. Officials urged drivers to avoid water-covered roads and never drive around barricades.

Brookfield police have arrested Doctor Jose Mahfoud following allegations involving a juvenile patient. Police say Mahfoud provided the juvenile with methamphetamine while the patient received treatment at Sophia Natural Health Center.
