Danbury smoke shope workers arrested

Three Danbury smoke shop employees were arrested Friday after police say they sold unlicensed marijuana to an undercover federal agent and tobacco vapes to a minor. Investigators also reported finding more than 52 pounds of illegal THC products across the 3 stores.

White supremacists rally outside Danbury PD

Danbury leaders are condemning a white supremacist rally against allowing legal permanent residents and DACA recipients to become police officers. Mayor Roberto Alves says white supremacy is not welcome in the city. A spokesperson says police learned about Saturday’s protest outside their headquarters only after it ended.

Amphenol factory catches fire

About 50 firefighters battled a 2-alarm blaze at the former Amphenol factory on East Franklin Street in Danbury early Monday. The fire was reported around 12:20 a.m. and brought under control by 2:40. Nobody was injured, and the fire marshal’s office is investigating.
