A drive-thru coffee chain could soon be coming to New Milford. Plans are in front of the Zoning Commission to convert a vacant former Webster Bank building at Litchfield Crossings into a 7 Brew location, the first for the greater Danbury area. The Arkansas-based franchise would split the 3,500 square foot building with another unnamed tenant and operate as a drive-through-only coffee shop with no indoor seating. A traffic study estimates the business would add up to 40 new vehicle trips during peak hours but says it would not significantly impact Route 7, which already carries about 21,000 cars a day. If approved, the shop would be open from early morning through late evening with up to eight employees on duty during busy periods.
