Deer Rescued From Icy Lake

Brookfield firefighters rescued a deer trapped in ice on Lake Lillinonah Thursday. Crews responded to Riverford Road just before 3 p.m. and freed the deer in about an hour. Officials say the animal was unhurt and guided safely to the Bridgewater side of the lake.
