Route 39 in New Fairfield reopened Friday morning after a car struck a utility pole Thursday, causing a power outage and overnight closure. The crash, which occurred before sunset, left a snapped pole resting on wires. Power was restored by early Friday, and the road reopened around 5 a.m.
