Danbury Man Seeks Rehab In DraftKings Case

A Danbury man charged in an alleged DraftKings fraud scheme is asking the court for accelerated rehabilitation. 30 year old Raheem Richards is one of 17 Connecticut residents accused of manipulating the online sports betting platform to gain an unfair advantage. Prosecutors say the scheme prompted a broader crackdown on illegal betting practices. Richards has pleaded not guilty and is seeking the diversionary program, which could erase the charge if he completes probation. A judge has not yet ruled on the request.
