Connecticut Gets FEMA Recovery Funds As Region Receives $105 Million

Connecticut is set to receive $4.4 million in FEMA funding to repair the Middlesex County railroad damaged by flooding from Hurricane Ida, part of a $105 million regional recovery package approved under President Trump and Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem. The money supports debris removal, emergency measures and rebuilding public infrastructure across five New England states. Nationwide, DHS and FEMA approved more than $2.2 billion in disaster projects in just the past week, with more funding expected as additional projects are finalized.
