Danbury Public Schools will host Space in the Community February 9 through 13, bringing hands-on STEM learning to classrooms across the district. The program connects students to NASA’s Artemis mission and includes in-person visits from retired astronaut Navy Capt. Winston Scott, a veteran of two Space Shuttle missions and three spacewalks. Highlights include a peer mentor event Tuesday morning at Danbury High School and a free Community Night Tuesday evening at Western Connecticut State University, featuring family STEM activities, astronaut Q-and-A, and interactive space demonstrations. The week spotlights local education with national reach, aiming to inspire the next generation of space innovators.
