Ned Lamont is preparing to unveil his fiscal 2027 budget, which includes a proposed 95 million dollar increase for the Education Cost Sharing program for K-through-12 districts across Connecticut. The plan also keeps recent special education funding increases in place and adds a new 10 million dollar grant aimed at encouraging districts to try new approaches to special education. Lawmakers say towns are watching closely, as the proposal will determine how much education aid each community receives in the coming year.
