More than 22,000 bottles of the cholesterol medication Icosapent Ethyl have been recalled nationwide under a Class II action by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. The recall involves capsules distributed by Zydus Pharmaceuticals after possible leakage led to oxidation, reducing the drug’s strength and potentially causing inconsistent treatment or stomach side effects. The affected 120-count bottles were shipped nationwide, and patients are urged to contact their healthcare provider before continuing use.
