Animal cruelty charges against a Redding woman accused of neglecting dozens of goats have been dismissed. A Danbury judge dropped 65 counts after determining Nancy Burton successfully completed a court-ordered pretrial rehabilitation program. The case stemmed from a 2021 investigation that found dead and malnourished goats on her property, with the remaining animals later taken into permanent state custody.
