Police in Fairfield say an armed robbery and possible home invasion on Candlewood Road prompted a large response Wednesday night, temporary school closures, and a brief shelter-in-place order. Fairfield Police report all suspects believed involved were taken into custody by mid-morning yesterday, and the order was lifted. Investigators have not yet released suspect identities or details on weapons used.
