The Center for Empowerment and Education says a $15,000 grant from the Union Savings Bank Foundation funded 260 prevention education programs statewide over the past year. The effort reached about 26,000 people, focusing on age-appropriate education from kindergarten through college to stop interpersonal violence before it starts. CEE officials say the programs are helping young people better recognize healthy relationships and seek help when needed.
