The Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection and the Connecticut Greenways Council are now accepting nominations for new or expanded state-designated greenways. Officials say communities have until May first to submit applications for consideration. Currently, 97 greenways carry official designation statewide. Those selected will be recognized in June during the council’s annual Greenways Awards event.
