A resounding NO from the Danbury Zoning Commission regarding a request to convert the former Super 8 motel into 66 double-occupancy units for the homeless. Meanwhile, a lawsuit that was filed against the city by a Stamford nonprofit continues to move forward in court after a rejection… by a 5 to 4 vote… by the zoning commission of a settlement agreement, that if approved would have permitted the nonprofit to convert the Super 8 motel into housing with social services and other support. Mayor Dean Esposito released a statement, saying that he is truly disappointed in the Zoning Commission’s decision.
