More than $200,000 has been awarded to the Bethel Baseball Association as part of the settlement in an embezzlement case. The former Bethel Baseball Association’s President and Treasurer, Kurt Dyer, has been ordered to pay the huge amount to the league after losing a lawsuit in state Superior Court in Danbury. That suit was filed more than two years ago. Dyer was arrested and charged with first-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit first-degree larceny after investigators said personal purchases were found to have been made using his Association-issued debit card. His wife was also arrested but charges against her were later dropped.
