Summer is here, and according to a new report, an estimated 100 million Americans… nearly one-third of the total population… go boating each year. Boating and fishing are the two largest conventional outdoor recreation activities in the U.S. Boating-related accidents as tracked by the U.S. Coast Guard though, are on the increase. Between 2018 and 2022, Connecticut experienced an average of 46.4 boating-related accidents and 5.7 boating-related fatalities per 100,000 registered recreational vessels.
