A water rescue near the Southbury town line on Thursday is credited with saving the life of a 17-year-old Bridgeport boy. The boy was hospitalized after a near drowning incident near the Silver Bridge on Glen Road yesterday afternoon just before 2. Police say they were called after the teen went into the water under the bridge with others, and then failed to resurface. The boy was taken to the hospital by a Newtown ambulance. There has been no update on his condition.
