Danbury Firefighters responded to a structure fire on Saturday around 2am on Walnut Trail. The first report indicated several explosions. Fortunately, everyone inside at the time was able to safely get out of the building. One resident was treated on the scene for minor injuries and was then taken to the hospital for evaluation. The Danbury Office of Emergency Management stepped in to coordinate relief efforts, and was assisted by the Red Cross. No firefighters were hurt. The cause is under investigation by the Danbury Fire Marshal’s office.
