According to a new report, if Danbury were to install fisheye lens video devices at some of the busiest intersections, traffic problems could be alleviated but it comes at a cost. That cost would be around $4 million. Anthony Iadarola is Danbury’s engineer and public works director. He claims that the cameras would be able to monitor traffic conditions, allowing operators to quickly change the timing of traffic lights to keep traffic moving more smoothly. A pending grant application, if approved, would help pay for the cameras.
