The changes continue at the Danbury Fair Mall, and now a zoning change is being sought which if approved, would turn the empty Lord and Taylor space into apartments. Representatives for the investors that are involved in the proposed project, met with city leaders to lay out their plans to reimagine the mall as what they call a “24-hour environment.” Under their plan, there would even be some outdoor green space in a new zone that if approved, would allow residential use alongside retail and commercial space.
