The Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection, along with some state officials, will release more information on Friday about what they are touting as the success of a pilot program to collect and recycle used propane tanks. Under a new law requiring a recycling program for certain residential gas cylinders, common camping and grilling gas cylinders here in Connecticut, are now recycled under an industry-managed program. The results of the collection efforts and future expanded collection plans will be announced tomorrow morning.
