A nationwide walkout protest began to affect major pharmacy chains on Monday. It’s being referred to as “Pharmageddon” and it’s being held to protest working conditions at retail drugstores that pharmacists say create unsafe conditions for patients. While it has had an effect on shoppers across the country already, just how many pharmacies here in Connecticut are impacted remains uncertain. Locally, there have been no reports of unusual activity, and there is still no official word on just how many stores statewide are planning to participate.
