DUI arrests were down over the long Thanksgiving holiday weekend on Connecticut roads. State Police say statistics so far show a decline in the number of drivers who were arrested for or suspected of being intoxicated this year. Connecticut State Police report that they made 30 arrests involving drivers suspected of operating under the influence between last Wednesday and Sunday… down from 41 during the 2022 holiday period and 50 in 2021. In fact, the number of DUI arrests this year is the lowest since 2020, when just 29 were made. State police said overall violations were also down this year over the same period last year.
