Here in Connecticut, it seems a lot of us like a drink now and then. Alcohol consumption in the Nutmeg State, according to some newly released statistics, remains above the national average for the 13th straight year. Spirits in particular have grown more popular. The National Survey on Drug Use and Health shows that Connecticut residents age 26 and older have the highest reported prevalence of past 30-day alcohol use while 18- to 25-year-olds had the highest prevalence of binge drinking.
