The Brookfield Board of Education has a new Chairperson. Wendy Youngblood, a vote of 4 to 3, beat board member Joy Greenstein to take the position. Youngblood replaces Bob Belden, who stepped down from the school board after he was elected selectman in the November election. Youngblood has been a teacher for 18 years, and she has also volunteered on the Brookfield Library’s Board of Directors and has served as a soccer coach locally.
