In Ridgefield, the contract for a controversial cell phone tower that was planned to be built on a golf course has been cancelled. Town officials have decided to void a lease agreement that was signed last month to build the tower on the golf course because they said the town didn’t properly notify residents of the special town meeting where the cell tower was discussed. They say that means the contract can’t go forward.
