Ridgefield Dealing With Fair Rent Commission Ruling

As required by law, Ridgefield will have to join nearly 45 other large municipalities in Connecticut in establishing a Fair Rent Commission. That isn’t sitting too well with many, but in Ridgefield it will be done a little differently than in some other towns. At their recent meeting, the Ridgefield Board of Selectpersons agreed unanimously, that rather than appoint a group of residents to serve on the commission, they will do it themselves. They say hopefully, it will not have to be used at all because people should be able to deal with their landlords.
