Local Puppies To Be In Nationally Telecast Puppy Bowl

A big part of Super Bowl Sunday is traditionally the annual Puppy Bowl. This year will mark the 6th year that the Danbury Animal Welfare Society will compete in the nationally televised event. 4 local dogs will be participating in this year’s Puppy Bowl. The Danbury Animal Welfare Society is actually one of seven Connecticut shelters… a list that includes the Ridgefield Operation For Animal Rescue… that will be represented at the Puppy Bowl. The annual event’s goal is to raise awareness for animal rescue and highlight the efforts of rescue and shelter workers who help animals find homes. The competition will kick off Sunday at 2 and this year it will be simulcast on Animal Planet, Discovery, TBS, truTV, Max and discovery+.
