In Danbury, a castle lost to time is getting a second chance. The Hearthstone Castle is being restored. Over the past four years, the city of Danbury has invested an estimated $1.14 million into the rehabilitation of the castle. Antonio Iadarola, Danbury’s Director of Public Works and City Engineer, says the castle has been ‘stabilized’ and it is now safer for crews to work on the property.
