Governor Ned Lamont has announced that as a mark of solemn respect for the memory and longstanding service of former U.S. Senator Joseph I. Lieberman, he is directing U.S. and state flags in Connecticut lowered to half-staff from sunrise to sunset on the day of the former senator’s funeral, which has been scheduled for today. Accordingly, since no flag should fly higher than the U.S. flag, all other flags, including state, municipal, corporate, or otherwise, should also be lowered during this same duration of time.
