Teen Facing Charges After Spree Of Car-Jackings

A Waterbury teenager has been arrested in connection with three armed car-jackings of high-end vehicles in Stamford. Stamford police say Tyssan Woods is linked to other crimes in the city and in Fairfield County, marking a possible crime spree. Investigators say Woods and his masked accomplices targeted locations with multiple cars and used force, including firearms. The incidents, which occurred between March 26 and March 28, involved attempted ATM thefts, a break-in at a smoke shop, and armed car-jackings. Police recovered stolen firearms and other items from Woods’ residence. Investigations are ongoing and police say additional arrests are pending.
