Anew bill if passed into law, would allow more businesses that sell tobacco products to seek a liquor license in Connecticut. But the proposal is getting some “blowback” from state public health officials. There would be restrictions under the terms of the proposal, including that any new tobacco bars must exist in a stand-alone building or have their own heating, ventilating and air conditioning system. They also would be required to have a walk-in humidor, and to generate more than half of their revenue from the sale of tobacco or humidor rentals.
