The City of Danbury will host the 2024 Portuguese Day celebration on Sunday. Events begin at 8:15 a.m. with a flag-raising ceremony at John Perry Soccer Field in Rogers Park, followed by a 9 a.m. Mass at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church. The parade starts at 10:15 a.m. from the church, ending at Portuguese Square with a flag-raising and remarks. The festivities continue with a picnic at the Portuguese Cultural Center beginning at 12:30 featuring food, music, folklore dancers, and activities run until 9 p.m. It all happens on Sunday.
