Flags To Be Lowered To Honor Fallen Trooper

Governor Ned Lamont has ordered U.S. and state flags all across Connecticut to be lowered to half-staff in honor of Connecticut State Police Trooper First Class Aaron Pelletier, who was killed Thursday afternoon while on duty. Trooper Pelletier was struck by a vehicle during a traffic stop on I-84 in Southington. Flags will remain lowered until sunset on the date of his interment, which is yet to be determined. The governor also used the occasion to urge everyone to stay vigilant on the roads to protect law enforcement officers as they perform their duties.
