The New Fairfield/Sherman Animal Welfare Society received a very generous donation from Flying Colors Roofing, a Brookfield-based company, which replaced the shelter’s 30-year-old roof… along with new gutters and downspouts… in just two days. The shelter had struggled to raise the necessary funds for the work, with estimates coming in at somewhere between $10,000 to $11,000. The donation came through a connection between a shelter board member and a Flying Colors employee.
