Money To Add Local EV Charging Ports Awarded

Danbury and New Milford are among nine Connecticut municipalities awarded grants to build electric vehicle charging stations. The state Department of Transportation’s $5 million investment aims to enhance the state’s Alternative Fuel Corridors. The funds will cover the planning, design, construction, operation, and maintenance of 45 charging ports across nine locations, including sites in Danbury and New Milford. Each site will feature Level 3 chargers with fast-charging ports.
