On Tuesday afternoon, Danbury Police detectives, along with the DEA and a Bethel Police K-9 officer, executed search warrants at 27 Foster Street following a months-long investigation into illegal drug sales. The investigation started after citizen complaints about people there selling drugs, liquor, and cigarettes. Detectives arrested 57 year old Walter Whitlock after he was found with crack cocaine. He now faces charges including possession of a controlled substance. Also arrested was 70 year old Vera Ribeiro-Menezes, who is now being held on a bond of $150,000 on drug charges after detectives found her with $8,500 in unexplained cash, an electronic scale, and packaged crack cocaine.
