Samaritan Health Closing

Samaritan Health Center in Danbury, which has provided pediatric care to nearly 5,000 uninsured children since 2008, will close on August 13th. The closure comes in response to new Connecticut state rules expanding the Husky health insurance program that ensure that all children, regardless of immigration status, have coverage up to age 15. Patients have been notified and given instructions on enrolling in Husky and finding local medical practices that accept it. The center will assist patients by phone post-closure for medical file distribution.
