Health Plus Ortho Management, based in Uniondale, New York, is seeking majority ownership of the Orthopaedic Specialty Surgery Center in Danbury. The company aims to increase its stake to 57.7% by acquiring an additional 17.7% ownership interest for $7.26 million. The Connecticut Office of Health Strategy held a public hearing on Tuesday regarding the transaction. Currently, 19 physicians own 60% of the center collectively. If approved, the center’s services and pricing will remain unchanged. The surgery center has been serving patients since 2019.
