Absentee Voting Changes Proposed

This November, Connecticut voters will decide on a constitutional amendment to permit no-excuse absentee voting. If approved, the state legislature will draft new laws allowing absentee voting for any reason. Currently, absentee voting is limited to specific reasons only, such as military service or illness. A ‘yes’ vote supports legislative action on the change, while a ‘no’ vote maintains the current system. The question will be on the ballot during the upcoming elections.
